The Statement of Work is a formal document that defines an overview of the entire scope of work involved in a project. A well-defined scope, schedule and budget are key to efficient planning and effectual management of the Statement of Work. The Department of Information Resources (DIR) will present a workshop that will provide participants with the vital skills and resources to write a productive Statement of Work. Students will learn the project methodologies and standard elements of building the Statement of Work and learn the DIR Agency’s Statement of Work review requirements and submission process. Students will also learn how to manage the Statement of Work post-contract award to ensure the outcomes are in accordance with the parameters outlined in the Statement of Work.
1.0 The Learner will: define what a Statement of work is and identify the lifecycle of a Statement of work.
2.0 The Learner will: identify and explain the steps involved in planning a Statement of Work
3.0 The Learner will: describe the standard elements of building the Statement of Work
4.0 The Learner will: recap the objectives learned in part one
5.0 The Learner will: become familiar with the Agency Statement of Work Review Requirements
6.0 The Learner will: identify and describe the Statement of Work Submission Process
7.0 The Learner will: discover the resources required to manage a successful outcome of the Statement of Work
8.0 The Learner will: identify common findings when writing a Statement of Work
