Civil Disturbance and Riot Control

This is a Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) elective Civil Disturbance & Riot Control online training course offered for Texas Peace Officers, Jailers, and Telecommunicators.

 

The goal of any law enforcement agency faced with a lawful demonstration is to apply the appropriate level of direction and control, with the mutually supporting objectives of protecting life, property, and critical infrastructure, and maintaining public peace and order, while upholding the participants' constitutional rights of free speech and assembly. The purpose of this course is to learn how to apply that process. 

 

Please note, the entire course, final exam(s), and course evaluation(s) must be completed in order toreceive eight (8) hours of course credit.
